Discover Tech Skills - Live Lesson - Create your own Data Selfie

About this event

Take part in this interactive data science activity with your class and learn about data

visualisation and how data can be used to create art.

Join our data science team to create a data-driven piece of digital art about the person

you know best: you.

In this workshop, you’ll get to code your own self-portrait using personal data. Your

self portrait is unique to you. Learners will use data visualisation software to create an

abstract drawing based on data they choose to share. We’ll also get to look behind the

code to discover how it works.

This session is designed for class teachers to bring their learners to. It's free to

participate, you will just need access to a web browser.

The workshop is suitable for learners from P7-S4. No previous experience of data

science is required.

To take part:

Teachers/parents will need access to YouTube, as the live lesson video will be streamed using a private link. Learners will need to use Google Chrome web browser

We'll email you information on how to join this event approx. 2 days beforehand.

Teachers should register on behalf of class - individual pupils do not need to register

Link to Live Stream (on YouTube) will be emailed to teachers in advance (ensure YouTube access)

Pupils will need to run through lesson on laptop/desktop (link to this will be emailed to teacher in advance) - worth having updated version of Chrome.
