Discover Tech Skills - Live Lesson - Defend Stirling Castle

About this event

Take part in this interactive cyber security activity with a medieval twist with your

class and learn about how organisations protect their networks and data.

Castles were built with defence strategies in mind. But what happens when you cross

these medieval techniques with new cutting edge cyber security?

In this interactive lesson, learners will step into the shoes of a cyber security architect

working in the heritage sector and discover similarities between castle and cyber

defences. Then they'll test out cyber defence skills and help defend Stirling Castle from

a live attack!

Learning is the aim of the game and no previous knowledge of cyber security is need

Special guests from Historic Environment Scotland will join us for this thrilling event.

To take part:

Teachers/parents will need access to YouTube, as the live lesson video will be streamed using a private link. Learners will need to use Google Chrome web browser

We'll email you information on how to join this event approx. 2 days beforehand.


Teachers should register on behalf of class - individual pupils do not need to register

Link to Live Stream (on YouTube) will be emailed to teachers in advance (ensure YouTube access)

Pupils will need to run through lesson on laptop/desktop (link to this will be emailed to teacher in advance) - worth having updated version of Chrome.
