About this event

Travel & Outdoor • Hiking

Join Susan Acton-Campbell at the Beehive Centre on Stretford Rd for a walk to discover nearby green spaces, shortcuts to schools, a hospital, another community centre and much more.

This walk is aimed at local residents of St George, Redfield, Crews Hole, Two Mile Hill, Speedwell, Dundridge, Pile Marsh and other nearby areas.

Whether you are new to the area or have lived here for years we hope we can share something new with you and we'd love to hear your tips on easy walks to useful, nearby places.

The walk will be just over 3 miles, with steps and some slopes. There will be pauses for information sharing so we have allowed up to two and a half hours but would expect timing to be closer to two hours. We will be exploring north and east St George.

There will be a second walk on Sunday 14th September, discovering the south of St George starting from a different location. Places can be booked on that walk too.

Both walks are free but booking required to limit numbers to ensure everyone can hear the speaker.

Both walks will end in St George Park.

Funding for these walks come from a Bristol City Council Active Travel grant. Volunteers from the St George Strollers will be helping on this walk.
