Meet at the Guts Cafe. There is a map at the entrance to the hospital site but here are the directions from the main gate : walk up to the Gallery and Museum, turn left into Orchard Way, turn left at the end and then follow the road round to Dower House where you will find the cafe.
The Guts Cafe sources, prepares and serves the food that is good for our microbiome ecosystem. The wrong food can negatively influence our mood and mental state; we will explore this further.
Let's meet here at the Guts Cafe for a simple very affordable lunch. If the weather is fine, we can sit outside to eat it; if otherwise, we can take it away as a packed lunch and eat in a communal sheltered area elsewhere.
After a walk through the hospital grounds learning about their history, we will go into the museum and find about the history of mental health treatment and how important art has been as a form of therapy.
The ticket via Eventbrite costs £18 including the booking fee or £20 exact cash on the day.
