Join us for a discovery of Japanese Summer festivals, Japanese food and a personal insight into living and working in Japan

About this Event

This event will be held online via Zoom and is for u3a members only.

Due to the popular Japan series of talks we have arranged an exciting new talk about Japan and invite you to join us.

The first part of the talk ,presented by Hilary Jones, will include recent experiences when visiting her family in Kawasaki including Summer festivals and Japanese food.

There will also be a personal insight into living and working in Japan, from Daniel Marter, on a live link from Japan.

Daniel will be discussing the Japanese typical working day and the challenge and benefits of working in a Japanese company. Also looking at the business culture and manners.

Daniel will add aspects of family life, highlighting and contrasting Japanese life with the UK.

Presented by:

Hilary Jones – personal experiences of Japan by Hilary whose son has a Japanese wife and lives in Kawasaki. Hilary has visited Japan on a number of occasions and has appreciated the insight into the life of a modern Japanese family.

Daniel Marter - who has lived and worked in Japan for 11 years.
