Event description

Description

Royal Holloway, University of London is coming to Manchester! On the 3rd July 2017, we will be holding a 'Discovering the World' event in the Conference Centre at the Museum of Science and Industry. The day aims to provide students with a taste of what it is like to study Geography, Earth Sciences (Geology) or Politics and International Relations at University level.

Students and Teachers who book their free tickets for the Politics and International Relations strand of the 'Discovering the World' day will have the opportunity to take part in a taster lecture on 'Trump, Brexit and Populism', explore politics through group activities and learn how to express and present their views on politics. Students will be learning from an academic from our Politics and International Relations Department at Royal Holloway University, rated 10th PIR Department in the UK for research intensity (REF14).

In addition, our Schools Liaison team will be providing two 30 minute information, advice and guidance sessions on:

  • 'Why University?' and 'Life in the South-East as a University of London student'

  • 'Applying through UCAS and writing your personal statement'
