Event description
A practical and informative day designed for Manufacturing and Engineering companies looking to scale-up or digitise.

About this Event

BACKGROUND

By necessity of the internet enabled age, the manufacturing industry is undergoing a significant shift. As one of the most important contributors to a country’s economy, it's never been more important that the sector embraces change in order to stay competitive. However, for all the hype and discussion, the fourth industrial revolution – and all its component parts – is still in its germinal stages.

This Discovery Day is designed to review the key challenges of adopting digital manufacturing techniques, to consider what IoT means to the manufacturing industry, and provide bespoke solutions to the issues the industry is facing.

As an innovation hub for sensor and IoT related technologies, we support ambitious companies looking to grow through the adoption and integration of digital technologies. As part of the ongoing support offered to the manufacturing and engineering sectors, and in support of our role within the LCR Start programme, we are working in partnership with The Manufacturing Technology Centre (MTC), Institute for Manufacturing (IfM) and Imagin3D, to launch a rolling programme of Discovery Days.

Our Discovery Days will provide attendees with valuable insight, practical guidance and facilitated connections, which will provide all-round exposure to the support available, helping participating organisations to take the next steps on their digital journey.

WHO SHOULD ATTEND?

Our Discovery Days are designed for Manufacturing and Engineering companies looking to scale-up or integrate digital technologies into their products or processes. Companies attending should already be revenue generating but looking to grow the business further by adopting IoT or developing their activities through creative R&D and digitisation.

Open to companies across the UK, attendees should be Technical Leads or key decision makers in the business, who are in a position to drive change and implement a digital strategy.

We only have a limited number of places available, as we want the Discovery Days to maximise our input and so that all Partners can dedicate time at the event to discussing bespoke solutions for each attending organisation.

Please register to confirm your interest and we will be in touch with you to confirm your place.

AIMS OF THE DAY

Provide companies with an interesting and interactive day that raises awareness of support available via the event partners, using demonstrations, presentations and workshops.

Understand more about each attending company’s bespoke support requirements and recommend tailored onward activities

Promote participation through supply chain integration into the Digital Manufacturing Accelerator (DMA).
