Welcome to WTC Discovery Day!

The Church in Hindsight: Jesus through the Ages
with Dr Jasper Knecht

This event is a partnership between Chawn Hill Church and WTC.

Join us for a day filled with insightful teaching about how the church today came to be what it is. Jasper will take an overview of church history including the life of the early church, the middle ages and the Reformation, exploring how Jesus has been working in his church through the ages.

This in-person event will be held at Chawn Hill Church on Saturday 4th October 2025.
Doors Open at 9.30am and the event starts at 10am, with a 4.30pm finish.

Dr Jasper Knecht is a systematic theologian and teaches Christian Doctrine at WTC. Jasper grew up in the Netherlands, completed his BA in Theology and Biblical Studies at ETF in Leuven, Belgium, and gained his MPhil and PhD at the University of St Andrews, Scotland. His interests include the history of doctrine, and particularly the development of Christological thought in the Patristic era, Late Antiquity, and the Early Medieval Church. Jasper is married to Stefania and is a big fan of classical music. Besides his work at WTC, he works with a Christian think tank in Austria.

Don't miss this opportunity to gain a deeper understanding of the church's history and how our church today is a branch of a wonderful tree grown and developed over time.
