Public health research is dependent upon the availability of good quality data. However, locating this data remains a challenge. This workshop will report on key findings of a new study to examine how discovery of Public Health and Epidemiology Research Data can be made easier and more efficient. The study was commissioned by the Wellcome Trust on behalf of the Public Health Research Data Forum
The seminar will explore three key themes:
- Current methods applied by Public Health Research Data Forum members to make research datasets available for access by others
- Models and systems used by the broader research sector for data discovery that are relevant to the public health community
- Recommendations for approaches that may be applied to enhance discovery and access to public health and epidemiology research data
