When is the International Songwritigng Camp Iceland?

How much does the Songwriting Camp cost and what do `i get for the price?

Accepted Answer

Price per person: £1,899 includes: 
4 nights full-board accommodation at Arnastapi Hotel (shared rooms)*
3 days songwriting to live  briefs  with international producers
Airport transfers to and from Reykjavík

Not included: 
Flights <> Iceland
Alcoholic drinks
*Solo occupancy rooms £80/per night

What is a live song brief?

Accepted Answer

A live song brief is an active request from a music label, music publishing company, artist management company, film/tv production company, advertising agency or games development company for an original piece of music for commercial use.

Question 4

How many days will I be songwriting on the camp?

Accepted Answer

The camp features three full days of songwriting and each day you will be curated into a new group of four people and work to a new live commercial song brief.

Question 5

Will I retain the rights to my songs created on the camp?

Accepted Answer

Yes, at the end of each day your group will sign a song split agreement dependant on the pro-rated work that each person completes on the song, as per the standard industry practice on all songwriting camps. The Songwriting Camp organiser CREAT-ED retain a blanket 1% of all tracks written.

How do I sign up to the camp?

Accepted Answer

You can apply for the camp directly via the website https://www.creat-ed.co.uk/iceland-camp and you need to submit links to two original songs in any format or genre as part of the application process.

Question 7

Can I split the payment for the camp?

Accepted Answer

Yes, a 50% deposit is required to confirm your place on the camp following our response to your application and the balance is due 30 days prior to September 27th 2025.

Question 8

Is there a full itinerary for the trip?

Accepted Answer

A full itinerary and pre-camp zoom session will be communicated to those attending the camp. Participants will be asked to arrive in Reykjavík no later than 330pm on September 27th 2025 in order to meet the hotel transfer transport. All participants will be returned to Reykjavík airport Oct 1st.
