World of Books

Looking forward to seeing you there!

Organised by

I made this group with the aim of encouraging myself and others to break out of our usual reading routines and try something new together. The aim is to explore books and authors predominantly translated from non-English languages. The book choices will steer away from mainstream bestsellers when possible, and shift focus from predominantly male and widely represented authors, aiming instead to uplift voices that are often overlooked in the publishing world.

Each month a book will be chosen using the following guidelines where possible:

- Preferably female and non cis-gender authors

- Authors and/or stories that represent minority groups

- The original language of the book is not English

- The book is easily available in Barcelona.

If you have a suggestion for a future read that fits in with the criteria mentioned above, please share!

***All discussions will be held in English and in-person in Barcelona.***
