For International Women's Day, join Barbara Grabher for a discussion forum centred around surrogacy and queer parenthood .

To coincide with International Women's Day, join Barbara Grabher, PhD candidate at University of Hull, UK, and University of Oviedo, Spain for a critical discussion forum centred around surrogacy and queer parenthood.

For participants who are parents, toys and drawing materials will be available for their young ones during the session.

About Barbara Grabher:

Barbara Grabher is a PhD candidate at University of Hull, UK, and University of Oviedo, Spain, in the context of the Horizon 2020 Marie Skłodowska-Curie Action Framework GRACE project (Gender and Cultures of Equality in Europe). Her research project 'Gendering Cities of Culture' combines perspectives of critical event studies and gender studies as she highlights the relevance of celebrations in the production and negotiations of cultures of gender/ sexual equality. Barbara holds a BA in Cultural and Social Anthropology from the University of Vienna, Austria, and an MA in Gender Studies from Utrecht University, Netherlands, and University of Granada, Spain. Barbara Grabher worked as a research assistant at the Culture, Place and Policy Institute at University of Hull as well as the Vielfaltenarchiv - Documentation Centre for Migration History, Austria.
