Event description

Description

Open Hearts Open Borders - Refugee Aid and MegaReach are hosting this free event to raise awareness and support the creation of change. The event will feature a local and nationally renowned panel (some of who have appeared on the BBC’s Exodus and TEDx events), the evening will also feature a photography exhibition on the Calais “Jungle” and information stands encouraging people to get involved at a grass roots level of change. This event is to stimulate social awareness whilst informing, educating and facilitating ways in which individuals can support those who are affected by displacement. The panel is made up of those who have direct experience of not only human displacement and who have made the journey across borders to get to safety, but also individuals who have taken action to become part of the solution to the refugee crisis.
