Event description

Description

The architecture, real estate and construction sectors have been historically slow to innovate due to marginal investment in R&D and complex supply chains leading to slow integration of new technologies and processes. However, with a host of new technologies poised to improve efficiency and create new value, and a burgeoning ecosystem of startups, accelerators and investors, might we be on the cusp of a revolution?

This special London Tech Week panel discussion hosted by Arup's Ventures team and URBAN-X will explore new developments and tools impacting the industry, the pitfalls and best practices for early stage ventures working with incumbents, and the possibilities for new partnerships that will shape the future of the built environment.

Join us at Arup's Headquarters in London to hear from experts in the field, contribute to the debate, and to network with founders, investors and built environment professionals - ranging from public sector organizations to developers and construction firms - that are driving transformation in the industry.

Speakers include:

Ian Rogers, Ventures Global Leader and Head of Intellectual Property and Technology Law, Arup

Elspeth Finch MBE, CEO and Co-founder IAND, Innovators Network Chair, Royal Academy of Engineering and Ex-Innovation Director UK & Europe, Atkins

Raya Yunakova, Programme Director, PiLabs

Michael Hurwitz, Director of Innovation at Transport for London (TfL)
