Event description

Description

Get under the skin of what makes a strong dissertation

Dissertations are, on many courses, the toughest piece of work to be faced but worth the most in terms of marks and credits.

In this interactive session, we will explore the role of each dissertation chapter - how they are different but also how they can 'talk' to the other chapters. * This session is specific to empirical/data based dissertations. Students doing a literature-based dissertation can join a separate workshop running at the same time *

The objective of the session is to help students to feel more confident in the skills which allow them to pull the parts of a dissertation together, into a whole with a good line of argument running through. Whilst we cannot cover individual dissertation content in detail (please do this with your supervisor), our aim is to help with the process of dissertation writing, and any questions you have on this.
