You don't have to work in service design and living in Scotland is optional.
This is free and open to anyone. Participants come from all sectors - local government, business, the third sector, consultancy, education, NHS, housing, Scottish Government, finance and others. Many are from Scotland, but we have others joining us from Europe, Asia and The Americas.
This event will celebrate the one-year anniversary of the Distanced Gatherings. Come join us as we reflect on the past year and look ahead into the future of the Gatherings.
Our special guest is Alexandra Clarke, Senior Service Designer in health and social care at Healthcare Improvement Scotland. With previous experience that includes Snook and the Scottish Government, Alex offers some unique insights on how service design can meet the challenges of post-Covid recovery.
As a one year on treat, we will be giving all attendees access to Spotify and Apple Music playlists that include all the music we've played since the start of the gatherings.
We started these online events at the start of lockdown on a weekly basis. We asked people what they wanted and they said to broaden networks, build relationships, share experiences of how we are adapting and reflect on positives. Now held fortnightly, these remain our objectives.
If you’ve attended before you’ll know our one hour event is fast paced, with one-to-one and small group discussions, plus a guest slot and an opportunity to 'shout out' events you're holding, help you need or opportunities you can offer. We're particularly keen for people to provide shadowing opportunities.
