Event description

Description

The Faculty of Health and Wellbeing, UCLan is pleased to welcome our Distinguished Collaborator, Professor Julie Nightingale, Sheffiled Hallam University. Prof Nightingale will be delivering a talk entitled 'Citation analysis and altmetrics: Is anyone using your research?', Tuesday 23rd July 2019.

This will take place In the Foster Building Lecture Theatre 4 , UCLan from 12:00pm.

Overview

Is your article having an impact? The best research will be of little value if it is never read by people who can potentially use it to develop knowledge or effect change. Research dissemination does not equal impact - we need to know whether our research is being widely read and used to make a difference.

Prof Julie Nightingale is an experienced Editor-in-Chief of a healthcare journal. In this presentation she will explore the potential value of analysing citations and alternative metrics to highlight the significance of our research.

This event is open to all.

Registration for this event is essential and free of charge.

Lunch will be provided between 12:00 and 12:30 prior to the seminar.

If you have any queries relating to this seminar, please contact GlobalHealth@uclan.ac.uk
