Being distracted by a mobile whilst driving:

Makes you 4 times as likely to cause a crash
In 2014, there were 1469 fatal crashes

Yet, 47% admit to checking social media or reading messages while driving

How would you feel if you killed someone because you were using your mobile behind the wheel?

If you are caught using a handheld mobile while driving you will receive:

6 penalty points and a £200 fine
You will lose your license if you passed your driving test less than 2 years ago

Help us prevent distracted driving and keep everyone safer on the roads by:

Volunteering for a research project at UHI Inverness:

Allocated time slots throughout the day and evening on:
Wednesday 21st June
Thursday 22nd June

As part of the study you will be asked to:

Watch a short distracted driving video
Complete a short questionnaire

I am a Psychology student at UHI and have been awarded a vacation scholarship from The Carnegie Trust to carry out my research project "No text is worth dying for: The role of emotion regulation in a distracted driving campaign"

I am looking for participants to volunteer for my research project.  If you take part you will be asked to: sign a consent form, watch a 5 minute video, and complete a short questionnaire on emotions you experienced while watching the video.

Participation is voluntary.  All participants must be aged 18 and over.
