DIT Masterclass: International Website Optimisation & Digital Marketing

The world is shrinking by the day and having access to the internet, including via smart phones, means borders are no longer a barrier.
An effective digital presence enables you to identify potential customers, understand their needs and behaviours and establish a way of managing traffic, either to grow brand awareness, facilitate consumer research into your products or services or attract new leads and customers.
This course will help you to create an action plan for an international digital strategy including:
• Showing you how to use online research tools
• Helping you plan for international website optimisation
• Looking at creating a strategic approach to social media and social commerce
• Understanding how digital lead generation and international B2B can help attract and grow customers from around the world
There will also be a brief presentation on Cyber Security given by Anthony McGhie, Business Digital Eagle for Barclays Bank in the Midlands. With six years experience in the financial sector at Barclays, Anthony delivers sessions on cyber security, raising awareness of the types of fraud and attacks that are being used in everyday life that can affect businesses and individuals. Invoice fraud alone is costing SME’s more than £9billion a year, amounting to £1,658 per SME across the UK. This is just one type of attack that will form a part of the presentation along with other cyber threats like ransomware, phishing scams and man in the middle attacks.
