About this event

This session is designed for children of Primary school age to help them learn how to ride a bike independently. It will be led by local cycling coach, Jen Purcell.

Bikes and helmets are available to borrow or you can bring your own. All riders must wear a helmet to take part in the sessions. Please note, we only have pedal bikes suitable for ages 4/5 upwards (16").

Please ensure that children are wearing suitable shoes and clothing for cycling and the weather conditions. The sessions will continue in wet weather and will only be cancelled if a weather warning is in place (e.g storm), all participants will be contacted in advance if this is the case. Where possible please remove any stabilisers from your child's bike before attending.

This session will take place on the main cycle track.

These sessions are possible thanks to grant funding from Sport England's Movement Fund.
