About this event

Sports & Fitness • Cycling

This session is designed for young people with additional needs to help them learn how to ride a bike independently. It will be led by an experienced local cycling coach and volunteers. The group size will be smaller for this session. This session will run on the main cycle track.

Bikes and helmets are available to borrow or you can bring your own. We strongly recommend that riders wear a helmet to take part in the sessions.

Please ensure that young people are wearing suitable shoes and clothing for cycling and the weather conditions. The sessions will continue in wet weather and will only be cancelled if a weather warning is in place (e.g storm), all participants will be contacted in advance if this is the case. Where possible please remove any stabilisers from your child's bike before attending.

Please note that this session is specifically designed to support young people in learning to ride a bicycle. If you are looking to try a trike (or bike with stabilisers) then we advise you book onto a Limitless Family cycling session at Moredon Sporting Hub where adapted cycles are available.

These sessions are provided thanks to grant funding from Sport England's Movement Fund.
