Diva Opera present La Bohème
Tue 13 June 2017, 19:30 – 22:00 BST
Puccini’s most famous opera, La Bohème tells the story of four struggling young artists in Paris in the late 1880’s. Rodolfo the poet falls in love with Mimi, a seamstress, and Marcello the painter is in a tempestuous relationship with Musetta. Rodolfo and Mimi have a short period of happiness but separate because he is convinced their poverty will exacerbate her tuberculosis. Some months later when Mimi is very ill, she returns to the home Rodolfo shares with the other artists. They relive their first meeting and are briefly reunited, but it is too late. Mimi dies and Rodolfo is heartbroken.
