6.10 pm – The Scope of Diversity and Inclusion and what is reasonable adjustment? -Robin Christopherson

Robin is Head of Digital Inclusion for UK tech charity, AbilityNet. Himself blind, Robin is passionate about the potential of technology to transform people’s lives. Central to his mission is raising awareness of the inclusive power of tech through writing regular articles on a range of current and future-facing technologies, as well as delivering a busy public speaking schedule in the UK, Europe and the US. Robin was awarded an MBE in the 2017 new year’s honours list for his services to digital inclusion, as well as being recently named in the 2019 list of the World’s 100 Most Influential People in Digital Government. He also hosts the daily Amazon Echo skill demo show

6.30 pm – A case study from HIGH Speed Rail 2 - Mark Lomas Head of Equality, Diversity & Inclusion at HS2.

Mark has delivered numerous diversity and inclusion projects in the UK and internationally for organisations across a wide variety of sectors, including The Financial Reporting Council, Lloyds Market Association, Inclusive Recruitment review, Bermuda Hospital Board, Groupama Insurance, The BBC, Sheffield University, NHS Clinical Commissioning Group Boards, Highways England, ITV, DR TV Denmark, Lloyds Market Association & The Bermuda Human Rights Commission and The Law Society.

6.50 pm – A Best Practice Approach – Claire Jones Director Clear Talents

Claire has always worked with businesses that ‘want to make a difference’. During her time at the charity AbilityNet, she worked with many corporate clients including Barclays, HSBC, EON etc. to ensure that their online experience was accessible and enjoyable for all of their customers. In June 2018 Claire became a Director for ClearTalents. ClearTalents have secured several awards including the ridi Employers Choice Award & the Reasonable Adjustments in Recruitment award. ClearTalents played an integral part in CGI’s CIPD award for their Health and Wellbeing strategy described as “outstanding” by the judges.
