Join DINT for our one year anniversary event, where we'll be teaming up with Beequal to give you a one-of-a-kind roundtable event. You'll have the chance to hop around to different tables and meet past DINT speakers and other experts in the D&I field.

Join DINT and Beequal for our roundtable event, where you'll have the chance to meet and chat with experts in Neurodiversity, diverse recruitment, starting a D&I initiative, allyship, race, and inclusive communication.

More about the Speakers:

Cade Friedenbach will host discussions on Supporting LGBTQ+ employees (current attacks on trans individuals, legal paper work, gender neutral bathrooms, non-binary employee recognition, nontraditional background hiring, inclusive job postings/interview policies, etc). Cade Friedenbach (he/they) is a San Francisco Bay based transmasculine non-binary software engineer and leadership team member for Out In Tech. They have spent their career working in consulting and mission driven start ups to use tech to create a more equitable and accessible world. At Out in Tech, he helps organize the Digital Corps program, a quarterly hackathon that builds websites for LGBTQ+ activists, organizations and entrepreneurs who advocate and support the LGBT+ community worldwide. They are currently a senior software engineer at Binti, a company focused on supporting the child welfare system.

Katie Pether will run the Anti Racist in Recruitment table. Katie Pether (She/her) is the Roadmap and Digital Resource Allocation Lead at DfE Digital and Technology, alongside running a training business as a Mental Health First Aid Instructor. Katie is currently leading the transformation of equity and inclusion within digital recruitment – supporting DfE to pride themselves on putting accessibility first and creating talented teams that reflect the community DfE serves. Alongside recruitment, Katie is currently training Mental Health First Aiders for Westminster City Council, volunteering for Time to Change and running LBGT+ awareness sessions for different communities. Khushboo Chabria will run discussions on Neurodiversity. Khushboo Chabria is a Behavior Analyst, transformational leader, and an expert in neurodiversity. Based in San Francisco, she’s been working hands-on with people with autism and related disorders for 10 years. Khushboo’s mission is to advocate for and help provide access to high quality services for children and adults affected by intellectual and developmental disabilities. She aims to make a meaningful impact in the world through education, empowerment, authentic engagement and unbridled compassion.

Mertcan Uzun will share information on how to start a D&I initiative. Mertcan works in the People team at Blinkist. Before joining the startup world, Mertcan was in academia researching labor market discrimination. Now, Mertcan is trying to make today’s workplace liveable for everyone, regardless of their inherent or acquired backgrounds. This is Mertcan’s biggest passion and goal in life

Mo Kanjilal will run discussions on Inclusive Communications. In addition to running Watch this Space, Mo Kanjal is an award-wiling Sales Director, coach, writer, and NLP Master Practitioner. She focuses on ensuring that teams are inclusive environments where everyone can thrive.

Nicholas Mazzei will share information on allyship. Nicholas Mazzei is a former Army officer, two-time political candidate and the former chair of BT’s gender equality network. Nick promoted a greater take-up of extended paternity leave policies and held events with prominent female MPs encouraging more women to get involved in politics. Nick has written in both The Times and the Irish Times on both culture and politics and is a trustee of a digital payments foundation designed to make it easier for small organisations and charities to get grants to solve local community issues.
