Event description

Description

We often ask ourselves why Greece and her wealth of wines have taken so long to be recognised for their high quality, extraordinary history and great value. A veritable kaleidoscope of philosophy, architecture, literature and countless other aspects of western culture have been fuelled since antiquity by alcoholic excess, and tonight we will discover just why Dionysus was termed 'The Liberator'. Now more than ever we have an explosion of styles emerging from all corners of the country, from easy drinking black of kalavryta, to brooding oaked xinomavro and gloriously idiosyncratic assyrtiko. Time to party like it's BC99!

Unless otherwise stated in the tasting description above, each tasting features 8-10 wines accompanied by quality bread, cheeses and charcuterie, and lasts approximately two hours. Due to the communal nature of the event and lack of kitchen facilities, we regret we cannot cater for dietary requirements.
