Rt Hon. Bob Blackman MP and SHYAM invite you to the SHYAM's eighth Diwali celebrations at the House of Commons of the British Parliament. The theme of this year's event will be Lakshmi: Vedic Secrets to Inner and Outer Prosperity from the Shree Suktam of the Rig Veda.
In 2011 the theme of our Diwali celebrations was Ganesh, in 2012 our Diwali event was about Hanuman, in 2013 we held two Diwali events on Ram and Shiva, in 2014 we held two Diwali events on Krushna, in 2015 our Diwali celebrations were about Durga and now in 2016 the theme of our Diwali event will be Lakshmi.
With a line-up this year that includes beautiful recitals of powerful Vedic mantras and inspirational talks on the Vedic Secrets to Inner and Outer Prosperity from the Symbolism of Lakshmi by renowned politicians, Hindu scholars and leading professionals in the City, this is an event not to be missed!
This event will also present an opportunity to speak with leaders of the community, media personalities and professionals from all over the City and will enable you to gain a greater awareness about the festival of Diwali.
