Diwali Festival

About this Event

With a glimpse of diyas and echo of the cants, celebrate the Diwali festival with us at the Birmingham City University.

Get ready for a fun packed event to celebrate Diwali . The event will comprise of presentations from Jains, Sikhs, Hindus and Buddhist explaining the essence of Diwali. There will also be fun games, dance, singing, poetry and drama performances from the students from all across the India. The event is open to all student and staff members. Traditional food will be served at the end of the festival.

*****Please dress in your best traditional attire***** for the special fashion show. Best dressed pair will be given special prizes.

Date: 25th October 2019

Time: 5pm Field Activities( Formal Photos, Rangoli, Diya decoration, dumpsharads etc)

6:30 Start of the formal speeches and performances.

Location: Curzon Building, Lecture Theatre C087

Traditional food will be served at the end of the festival. Please book your tickets as preference will be given to the ticket holders for food and seating on during the event.

The event is organised by the BCU International Office in collaboration with the International Society, Krishna Consciousness Society and Sikh Society.
