Event description

Description

Art therapy is proven to help process trauma, decrease stress and build self-esteem, so please join us for our special FREE workshop at Tate Modern as apart of the But We Are Still Here exhibition in the Tate Exchange.

Our art therapy classes will be a place where you can:
- Be safe and accepted. Including all self identifying-women and women of colour.
- Express yourself creatively to suggested emotive themes.
- Feel comfortable with whatever level of artistic ability you have. Beginners, experts and inbetweeners welcomed!
-Receive validation, praise and positive judgement for your work
-Have the chance to express your emotions artistically in in a light-hearted environment
-Gain the opportunity to socialise with other creative like-minded women.

All materials will be provided, although you are welcome and encouraged to bring your own and experiment.
A fifteen minute break will be provided half-way through the class, refreshments will also be provided.

*Please note all of our themes and pieces are chosen and worked on from a positive, empowering and self-esteem building perspective and we do our best to avoid anything that could be triggering. We do not mention or bring up triggering or traumatic subjects.*

The workshop will be located in the Southwark Room on the 5th Floor of the Tate Exchange building within the Tate Modern.

Our workshops are strictly for Self-Identifying Women aged 18+
