DIY MICROPHONE & HYDROPHONE WORKSHOP
Overview
This workshop, led by artists Mathias Arrignon and Action Pyramid, will focus on building a set of affordable devices for field recording activities, including a stereo pair of lapel microphones and a hydrophone.
At the end of the workshop, participants will be able to take home the pair of microphones and the hydrophone they have made, along with a digital copy of all the learning materials provided.
Listening as porosity is a three-day programme at Listen Gallery combining immersive listening, skill-sharing, and dialogue. Exploring field recording as a porous practice where sound, memory, and imagination meet, it fosters ecological awareness, empathy, and collective reflection through creative and participatory approaches.
