Turn your drab chair into a fab chair!
You will learn how to:
- Web up a frame
- Attach hessian and bridle ties
- Insert appropriate fibre
- Attach calico, wadding and fibre
You can bring your own chair, or, can purchase one from us from £15-£40.
This all-day workshop is designed to give you the skills to confidently take on more advanced upholstery projects. Advanced workshops, such as upholstering your own footstool, will be offered, if uptake is sufficient, in the coming months.
About the Tutor....
Lisa Perry graduated with distinctions and credits from the London College of Furniture (now part of London Metropolitan University) in 1989. She has since worked as a self-employed upholsterer running her own business – Lisa Perry Upholstery.
From 1999 until 2006 she taught an evening class in upholstery at City & Islington College where she also sat Part 1 of the Teacher Training Certificate which she passed.
Lisa has regularly taken on young apprentices and is very keen to train the next generation of upholsterers. She is passionate about this diverse and creative industry and is a firm believer of passing on skills.

Petit Miracle's is a registered charity which uses empty property to create social value.
Petit Miracle Interiors, located in the West12 Shopping Centre, provides interior design training, DIY & upcycling workshops to vulnerable adults in local community. We divert items from landfill, occupy vacant property all whilst creating social value.
Petit Miracle Hub, also located in the West12 Shopping Centre, is a retail and business incubation project - created by Londoners for Londoners. Our Hub is a haven for aspiring entrepreneurs needing access to the retail market. Customers can expect a varied, one-of-a kind shopping experience where they can meet the deisgners, hear their stories and purchase bespoke designs and products.
