Find out what it takes to get your first CEO role. A safe space to talk to peers and hear from current CEOs about their challenges and tips.

About this Event

Peridot Partners is delighted to invite you to our next event in our Leadership Network series: So you want to be a chief executive?

Join Peridot Partners on the Thursday 19th September at NCVO (Society Building, 8 All Saints Street, London, N1 9RL) from 1.50pm – 5.30pm.

The event will be facilitated by Sarah Gosling, an experienced leader who has supported organisations through significant transformational change both as a CEO and Trustee.

All attendees will also have the opportunity to book in time with the Peridot team after the event for CV guidance at a convenient time . We will send a follow up email post event to book in a time.

Tickets are limited to ensure small groups. We will accept refunds up to 1 week before the event (7 days).

1.50pm:

Registration. (Please note you won’t have access to the room before).

2pm:

Introduction by Phillipa Fabry, Director of Not-for-Profit at Peridot.

2.10pm:

Quick introductions and overview by Sarah Gosling (previous CEO of Reach Volunteering and University of Nottingham Students’ Union).

2.25pm:

Preparing for a CEO role, practicalities, preparing and development, top tips from:

Rita Chadha (CEO of Small Charities Coalition)

Ed Marsh (CEO of Middlesex University Students’ Union)

Karin Woodley (CEO of Cambridge House)

Stephen Elsden (CEO of Compaid)

3pm:

Introduction to Action Learning Sets and how they can support your development: a practical 1-hour session (includes comfort breaks).

4.15pm:

You’ve got the job, what next? The first 100 days from:

• Karin Woodley (CEO of Cambridge House)

• Ed Marsh (CEO of Middlesex University Students’ Union)

4.45pm:

What do you want to know about becoming a CEO? Open panel with all speakers, Philippa Fabry and facilitated by Sarah Gosling.

5.15pm – 5.30pm:

Wrap up and close.
