A workshop, led by María Goya Barquet, focusing on ways to frame our landscapes and environments through documentary-making.
The workshop, open to all, will have conversations and practical exercises, in which we will have the opportunity to think about how to use our cameras and phones to our surroundings through cinematography.
María is a director and cinematographer born in Ecuador, based in Barcelona and working internationally. Her short film Hello Sea! is screening at IberoDocs in the programme 'The Sea' .
María's most recent project as Cinematographer, “Only on Earth” (directed by Robin Petré) had its World Premiere at the 75th edition of Berlinale 2025. And later won the Award for Best Cinematography at Millennium Docs Againts Gravity Film Festival 2025.
Through an introduction of María’s work and practical exercises, the masterclass will offer a space to think about the world that surrounds us and how we want to capture it through our cameras.
