Professionals from the museum, library, and archive sector will guide you through the structures and processes which underpin different kinds of collections. You will learn about international collections management standards, different classificatory systems, and relational databases.
By the end of this session you will:
- meet others doing collections-based research and discuss and compare challenges specific to your project
- be aware of how cataloguing can help and hinder collections-based research
- understand how to use finding aids and other tips for navigating specialist collections.
