Doctors Under Attack - Screening, Panel, Conversation
By Jerry
Overview
Invitation to meet to discuss health workers' courage in Gaza. Includes panel discussion with medics with experience of working in Gaza.
In Gaza, more than 1,700 health workers have been killed and the health infrastructure levelled. Each act of healing is an act of resistance.
Across the UK, hundreds of doctors, nurses, and therapists have been reported to their employers or the GMC, for calling for a ceasefire or posting solidarity messages.
This moment requires knowledge, courage and collective action.
Join us for a screening of 'Gaza- Doctors Under Attack' followed by a panel discussion with:
- Dr Khaled Dawas: Consultant Surgeon & Hon Assocaite Professor (UCHL/UCL), Vice-Chair of the Hanoon Foundation. Dr Dawas has been on emergency medical missions to Gaza (2023, 2024)
- Dr James Smith: Emergency Doctor & Lecturer in Humanitarian Policy (UCL). Dr Smith has been on emergency medical missions to Gaza (2024, 2025).
- Panel chaired by Dr Manal Massalha: Sociologist/ ethnographer & social documentary photographer.
