Event description
Meet artist Morgan Dowdall - and help the Harris document his new art work

About this Event

The Harris has recently acquired 6 ceramic plates from Morgan Dowdall's 'Well Hung' series.

These were selected by members of the Harris's LGBTQ Working Group.

On Weds 5 Feb, Cardiff-based artist Morgan Dowdall is going to visit the Harris. Join our curator as she interviews Morgan about his career and the story behind the Well Hung plates.

You'll see how the Harris records information about art works in its collection on the museum's catalogue. We'll measure, photograph & label Morgan's work - and we'll talk together as a group with the artist about how the Harris might exhibit this work in the future. This will be an informal event - and everyone is welcome to join in the conversation and influence what sort of information we record about this art work for future generations.

Come along if you are interested in hearing artists talk about their work, or if you'd like to get an idea of what goes on behind-the-scenes at the Harris.

On the evening of Weds 5 Feb Morgan will be running some creative clay workshops at the Harris as part of an LGBTQ Late Event. More details to follow soon.
