Does Clean Air Matter - Live Podcast
Date and time
Join us for a live podcast discussing why you should care about clean air day.
About this event
Every year, air pollution causes up to 36,000 deaths in the UK. The World Health Organisation recognised air pollution is the largest environmental health risk we face today. London contains some of the dirtiest air in the UK, with Brixton Road regularly exceeding legal limits of air pollution.
But there is inequality in the air too. Black, Brown, and Asian communities experience a greater burden of air pollution. For instance, schools in London with the most students of colour have 28% higher air pollution than schools with the least.
Clean Air Day was 16th June and to reflect, IB is hosting a live show and podcast in the iconic Black bar where we talk about clean air and its impact on our creator community.
Get your FREE TICKET and join this live podcast to talk where we explore the following questions:
- How does air pollution affect your health?
- How is air pollution affecting businesses in Brixton?
- Why is racial equity important in the air quality conversation?
- What can we actually do?

We’re here to make some noise about things we live and breathe outdoors – without the air pollution.
