Bronze Open Practice Expedition : Saturday 2nd and Sunday 3rd October 2021

We offer an open Bronze package which allows you to complete your Practice Expedition for the Bronze award. This is ideal if you don’t have a group to do your expedition with or can’t make your schools dates.

Expedition in Danbury:

Saturday 2nd October- Training 10am till 1pm

Sunday 3rd October- Navigation training- 10am till 3pm

Due to Covid- 19 There will be no overnight camping.

Parents MUST PICK UP AND COLLECT EACH DAY

Please read the below before booking on the Bronze Expedition package.

As with all trips in Covid times you need to be aware of the booking and refund process. Mud and Maps will set the dates of the trip . If there is a local, national or year group bubble lockdown the package has a back up date. We will move the trip to accommodate the young people to make sure they get through the award. This could happen more than once and there is no extra fee for this. We will get the young people through in 2021/22 so please do not panic about this.

As well as the group trip, we have open expedition dates every 2 months where individual's can move to if needed. So if the trip goes ahead BUT someone can not make it, this ticket can be transferred to any open expedition with Mud and Maps. Open expedition are designed for people that cant make the expedition last minute due to a family emergency, Sickness or a school last minute Function etc.

Refunds:-

If you pay for the expedition package and then change your mind a refund will not be issued. In the event that you develop a medical condition, a doctors note will allow us to give you a part refund. Please only book on this training package if you are committed 100% to your Expedition section.

Comprehensive training covering all aspects of the DofE syllabus.

Transport to and from the expedition

Personal equipment

Expedition food

Transport: Parents must drop off and collect from Epping each day

After booking on and paying for your expedition you MUST send us a consent form 6 weeks before the event. We can not take young people without a consent form. Please email it over to info@mudandmaps.co.uk. Failure to attend the Route planning session will result in you not being able to attend the expedition.
