However, in the last year, UK-LatAm trade has seen a double boost: firstly, its total annual value, though relatively small compared to some other global markets, grew substantially; and secondly, the UK’s accession to the CPTPP bloc is simplifying trading arrangements, potentially leading to reduced costs, lower regulatory risk, and greater synergies.

Accounting for 2-3% of UK trade, Latin America’s markets offer an important opportunity for export growth and partnership development.
