Event description

Description

Date: Saturday 24 June (11am – 6pm) and Sunday 25 June (10am – 6pm)

Dramaturgy helps artists to develop thinking and vision when creating work.

DOING DRAMATURGY is a two-day workshop, for choreographers, dramaturgs and makers interested in exploring the potential value of involving a dramaturg or dramaturgical practice in choreographic work.

Working with South East Dance Guest Dramaturg Martin Hargreaves, the two-day course will explore dramaturgy as a process and product-shaping practice. Artists will be challenged creatively and introduced to tools that can be used in the process of making work and in the framing and presentation of work for audiences.

Artists will work together with Martin to understand the creative possibilities and opportunities of ‘thinking dramaturgy’
