Doki Doki - The Manchester Japanese Festival is an event held in Manchester, UK, celebrating both traditional and modern Japanese culture.

About this event

Throughout the weekend, there will be talks, demonstrations, parades and other events showcasing manga, anime, fashion, martial arts, film, music, games and other aspects of Japanese culture, past and present, as well as retail stalls and artist stands. Hot and cold Japanese food will also be available to purchase.

There is no age limit for the daytime event, but anyone under the age of 14 must be accompanied by a paying parent or guardian. Any child aged 11 and under will get in for free.

The proceeds from various events at Doki Doki 2022 will be donated to our supported charity, Aid for Japan, which provides long-term support for orphans of the 2011 Tohoku disaster in Japan.

Festival times and dates are:

Saturday 27th August 2022 11:00-17:30 (screenings will be shown at an external venue later than the stated end time)

Sunday 28th August 2022 11:00-17:30
