About this event

Dollar Glen has it all, deep gorges, rushing burns, towering trees and a ruined castle.

Chris Knapman is an arboriculturist, horticulturist and ecologist with a particular interest in heritage trees and cultural connections with nature.

Join him on a journey of discovery through Dollar Glen SSSI and make your own connections with this special place as you explore along burns, bridges and waterfalls through glorious Autumnal woodland to reveal unusual trees and abundant flora & fauna and if we are lucky we may even spot a red squirrel or two.

The walk will include:

• The ‘Burns of Care and Sorrow’, ‘Kemp’s Score’, ‘Sauchie Falls’, ‘The Devil’s Cauldron’ and ‘Windy Edge’ viewpoint

• ‘The Spider Oak’, ‘The Upside-Down Tree’, ‘The Tarantula Birch’, ‘The Lover’s Rowan’ and ‘The Fairy Oak’
