Event description

Description

The housing sector is a key stakeholder in the response to domestic violence and abuse. Reflecting this, the Brighton & Hove Safe in the City Partnership and the East Sussex Safer Communities Partnership have invited the national Domestic Abuse Housing Alliance (DAHA) (https://www.dahalliance.org.uk/) to run a ‘Master Class’ on DAHA accreditation, the benchmark for how housing providers should respond to domestic abuse in the UK.

The target audience is: Senior Managers / Operational Leads from Housing Providers (e.g. Head of Area / Service, ASB Manager) who are interested in undertaking DAHA accreditation

This master class will:

  • Introduce the 8 priority DAHA standards

  • Introduce DAHA accreditation and review the accreditation process, including: policy & procedure and communications, case auditing, conducting service gap analysis and developing bespoke improvement plans

  • Review a Priority Area of Accreditation (Policy and Procedure)

  • Discuss next steps for housing providers wanting to undertake DAHA accreditation
