No previous knowledge is required. The course is designed to be accessible and engaging, while still offering depth and practical insights for professionals.

How can I use this training in my role?

You’ll leave with practical tools to identify risks and warning signs in older people’s lives. Challenge myths and stereotypes about abuse in later life. Build confidence in “reaching in” and offering help and establish referral pathways to Hourglass and other support services.

We use case studies, breakout discussions, and reflective exercises. You’ll have opportunities to share your thoughts and learn from others, but participation is always optional.
