About this event
Domestic abuse is abuse that can take place in any home irrespective of income, area, job, race, age and sex. Domestic abuse isn't just between a perpetrator and victim - it impacts on the unborn child as well as any children in the home.
Within this session we will unpick the words domestic abuse so that we have a clearer understanding of the topic, and we will also have a look at the impacts. We will explore facts and figures relating to domestic abuse as well as looking at the safeguarding issues that surround it.
This session is giving you insight and will help to explore as a group this topic and why its important we as front line workers need to be aware of domestic abuse and how can we talk about it confidently with the clients/patients/service users.
PLEASE NOTE: This session will be online and due to the sensitive issues of the session it will NOT be recorded as this is an interactive session in a safe space for delegates to speak and ask questions.
A e-certifcate will be issued to those that attend, as well as any further handouts. there will be an online questionnaire at the end of the session to confirm learning.
This workshop is 4 hours CPD or PD.
