About this event

This training examines the intersection of domestic abuse and faith or spiritual beliefs within Black and Minority Ethnic (BME) communities. It delves into how religious and cultural factors can influence both the perpetration and experience of abuse, as well as the challenges survivors face when seeking help. Participants will learn how to navigate sensitive issues related to faith, provide culturally informed support, and understand the potential role of faith leaders and communities in both perpetuating and addressing domestic abuse. The goal is to equip professionals with the tools to offer compassionate, effective, and culturally respectful support to individuals affected by abuse within these contexts.
