About this event

This is an interactive virtual training session that will involve discussion and exercises with the group.

This training looks at domestic abuse and VAWG and the impact of this traumatic experience on survivors. Attendees will gain an understanding of the impact of trauma on survivors of abuse and an understanding of the needs and vulnerabilities of survivors facing multiple disadvantage, particularly those with mental health and substance misuse support needs. Attendees will gain an understanding of how to work with survivors in a trauma-informed way.

This training includes an introductory session on domestic abuse from 10:30-12:00 followed by multiple disadvantage from 12:45 - 14:15 and trauma-informed practice from `15:00 - 16:30.

This training is for frontline professionals who may interact with survivors of Violence Against Women and Girls. This training is provided for the following boroughs:

Barnet, Camden, City, Croydon, Enfield, Haringey, Harrow, Hounslow, Islington, Lambeth, Merton, Southwark, Wandsworth, Westminster.
