Domestic Life ¦ Drawing
Sun 13 August 2017, 10:00 – 17:30 BST
What is life drawing, when it's at home? Join us for the sights and delights of day-to-day living at Domestic Life; a unique and immersive life drawing session with 4 models in a flat.
I am beyond delighted to be presenting this event after an age of sitting on the idea, waiting for the right opportunity. We are so lucky to be given the run of an entire flat, so you can wander about and sketch our wonderful models reading in the living room; relaxing in the bath; asleep half in, half out of bed; baking in the kitchen. Come along and feel right at home - I can't wait to welcome you in!
The models will range from fully nude to partially dressed, and we'll have a huge variety of pose lengths, from super long (3 hours) to super short (2 mins), and also some organic movement poses for you loose and speedy sketchers. The session will be untutored, though as always your host Topaz will be on hand if you need any tips. Materials are provided, but you're welcome to bring your favourite paraphernalia, and there will be some easels and boards to borrow, though we kindly request no acrylic or oil paint, (watercolour is fine). At the end of each session we'll have a half hour tea break where we can all have a nibble of the models' baking while admiring one another's work (if you feel like showing it off!)
This will be a ticket-only event, with the [Leith] location being emailed out a week before.
Morning session: 10-1 (doors 9.45) ¦ Tea and cake 1-1.30
Afternoon session: 2.30-5.30 (doors 2.15) ¦ Tea and cake 5.30-6
Tickets : £18 (£15) for one session, or £27 (£22) for all day.
Materials, coffee, teas and freshly baked cake included.
You can bypass Eventbrite's booking fees by buying from me in person at any Reconfigure event (here's the schedule).
I cannot flipping wait! xx Topaz
