About this event

Rooted in Yijia Wu’s practice of reimagining everyday objects, this workshop invites participants to sculpt with soap - exploring the meanings of home and identity through familiar forms such as bowls, cutlery or keys.

Participants will experiment with two techniques: Soap Carving, subtracting from a solid block to reveal form, and Soap Building, layering shavings into textured, balanced constructions.

Attendees are encouraged to bring a small object or photo from home, something quietly significant. We’ll consider what emerges when the durable becomes delicate, and how memory reshapes the things we live with.
