An interactive workshop to help you recognise what domestic abuse is, and support people who disclose an abusive relationship.
About this event
1 in 4 women and 1 in 6 men experience domestic violence and abuse in their lifetime. This means you almost certainly work with someone, whether a colleague, a service user or a customer, who is currently, or has been, in an abusive relationship.
This interactive 1/2 day session will give you the skills to recognise abuse, to understand what might be happening in that person’s life and the courage to have the ‘difficult conversation’ by asking them about it and signposting them to the relevant support.
Our training is regularly accessed by people working in the voluntary sector, businesses concerned about their staff or service users, and members of the public who want to develop their skills for the workplace or in able to support family members or friends.
Training is delivered by a qualified trainer with many years’ experience teaching and training both in person and remotely.
