Purpose & Vision
We are pleased to invite you to a key stakeholder workshop that marks the beginning of enhanced collaboration across Doncaster, focused on Giving Every Child the Best Start in Life. This event will be the starting point for developing Doncaster’s Local Best Start Plan, with a shared commitment to closing the early years opportunity gap and working towards the national target of 75% Good Level of Development (GLD) by 2027/2028.
Together, we will lay the foundations for a unified approach that supports every child to thrive from the earliest stages of life.
Workshop Overview
This interactive workshop will bring together parents/carers and partners from across early years, education, health, SEND/Inclusion, family support and community services. The session will be structured around the three pillars of the Giving Every Child the Best Start in Life framework:
- Better Support for Families
- More accessible early education and childcare
- Improved quality in early years including reception
Through discussion, collaboration, and shared learning, we will begin shaping a local strategy that reflects Doncaster’s strengths and ambitions. Your contribution will be vital in identifying priorities, opportunities, and actions that will drive meaningful change for children aged 0-5 and their families.
